End of support means there will be no more product or security updates for the Windows 10 Mobile operating system OS. This is in-line with our Lifecycle policy. After the end of support, automatic or manual creation of new device backups for settings and some applications will continue for 3 months, ending March 10, Some services including photo uploads and restoring a device from an existing device backup may continue to work for up to another 12 months from end of support.
App developers including Microsoft may end support for an app at any time. End of support means experiences with Xbox related features will have limited to no functionality. In addition, earning achievements through Windows Phone devices will be turned off starting May 16, Some games may still be playable locally on your phone, but progress will not be recorded to your Xbox profile.
